Privacy policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
The Interrogation Experience is a single-player detective game. This policy explains what happens to the information involved when you play, especially the questions you type to the AI suspects.
The short version
- There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or any contact details.
- The questions you type are sent to an AI service to write the suspect's reply. They are not used to identify you.
- Your game progress is saved only in your own browser.
- Please don't type personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers) into the game.
What we process
Typed questions and the conversation. When you ask a suspect something, your question, the earlier lines of that interrogation, the case you're playing and how your earlier questions were scored are sent to our game server.
Hint requests. When you use a hint, the recent conversation is sent to our server to choose a suggestion. This happens on our server and doesn't use the AI service.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and request times so it can deliver the game and keep it secure.
How AI requests work
Your browser sends each question only to our own game server. The server adds the case details and sends the request to the Lovable AI Gateway, which passes it to Google's Gemini model to write the suspect's reply. The reply is streamed back to your screen.
The AI service keys stay on our server and are never sent to your browser. We don't send your IP address or any identifier of ours to the AI provider as part of the conversation.
Suspect replies are generated by AI for a fictional story and may be inaccurate or unexpected. Decisions about whether you solve a case are made by the game's own rules, not by the AI.
How long conversation data is kept
Our game server doesn't store your conversations in a database. It uses them only to produce the reply, then discards them.
The AI gateway and Google may keep request logs for a limited time for security, abuse prevention and service operation, under their own terms. We don't use your conversations to train AI models.
Saved in your browser
The game uses your browser's local storage to remember your interrogation in progress, which cases you've solved and your tutorial progress. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us as a profile. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
Advertising
When the game is played on Poki, ads are shown through the official Poki SDK: an optional video you can choose to watch for an extra hint, and an occasional ad between cases. Poki and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies under Poki's own privacy policy, which applies to ads on its platform. The Interrogation Experience doesn't use any other ad network.
Third-party services
- Lovable — hosts the game and its server, and runs the AI gateway.
- Google (Gemini) — the AI model that writes suspect replies.
- Poki — game platform and ad delivery, when played on Poki.
Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't sell your information.
Children
The game doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children and has no accounts or contact features. Players should avoid typing personal details into the game. If you think personal information about a child was entered, contact us and we'll help.
Your choices and rights
You can stop sending data by not typing questions, and delete saved progress by clearing your browser's site data. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights to access or delete personal information. Because we don't keep conversations or accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you, but you can still contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
